All adult role models/mentors must successfully complete Florida Department of Law Enforcement background checks in order to be trained and certified as youth advocates and role models. Our adults’ mission is to develop relationships that positively impact our greatest resource: our youth. WIM focuses on building essential skills needed to become productive, confident and contributing residents of Pinellas County.
WIM mentees enjoyed a session on stress management: how to identify the signs, its affect on their health, and strategies for handling stress. We ended our morning with encouragement stretches led by Mindful Movement Florida.
