Background Check

All adult role models/mentors must successfully complete Florida Department of Law Enforcement background checks in order to be trained and certified as youth advocates and role models. Our adults’ mission is to develop relationships that positively impact our greatest resource: our youth. WIM focuses on building essential skills needed to become productive, confident and contributing residents of Pinellas County.

Through WIM, women will invest their time and talents by sharing stories and experiences of everyday and extraordinary Black women. They will participate in events that celebrate and elevate our community, and exchange insightful information that will enrich the mentees health, emotional and spiritual welfare.
