Background Check

All adult role models/mentors must successfully complete Florida Department of Law Enforcement background checks in order to be trained and certified as youth advocates and role models. Our adults’ mission is to develop relationships that positively impact our greatest resource: our youth. WIM focuses on building essential skills needed to become productive, confident and contributing residents of Pinellas County.

The young ladies of Women In the Making spent their time creating a personalized mantra for the group. They also learned how to sew and used this skill to create dolls to be given to children at the Ronald McDonald House during the holidays.
